Tomorrow it is almost supposed to hit 60 degrees, but after that we are looking at below freezing temps , especially at night, for at least the next week or so. Once that water begins to freeze a pond  can put on a half inch of ice a night as long as the temps stay below 32 degrees. When it gets sub zero it can develop even faster.

Lake Erie

The surface temp in the far western basin near Monroe Mi, where it is at its shallowest is between 33-35 degrees. As you get closer to Sandusky and Port Clinton Ohio  and its a little deeper the water temp is near 35-37 degrees.  The anglers that have left their boats in the water and have been out trolling  have been having very good luck .  Perfect -10s and Bandits ate working well. I have even heard some fishermen are out Jigging just to mix it up some. So if you dont mind the weather and know some one with a boat still in then it sounds like there is still some time to get out and nail a few.  The night pier fishing has still been sporadic this year, but again there is still time before ice in  to get out and try your luck. Bandis, Bombers and Smithwick P-10s are the preferred bait.

Have fun be safe and good luck fishing
