Water Temp-55 degrees
Wading To Bluegrass is possible
With these conditions and still seeing some unspawned fish in the river we are expecting the run to go well into April , and as the river gets some fresh rain tomorrow we may see another wave of walleye come through.
Yesterday was warm and though we saw some limits the bite was slower than the weekend. Overnight the water temperature has warmed up and with over cast skies we anticipate the walleye being much more active. White street and Orleans park were slow walleye action yesterdays in low water times the current becomes very sluggish in those areas. Anglers at white street did pull out some white bass fished off minnows and some catfish off night crawlers . Jerome road rapids, Blue Grass Island, Button wood, the Towpath and Maumee side of river across from Ft Meigs were again yesterdays good fishing spots, and will probably be good areas to try again today.
Go with a 24-30 inch leader today with 3/8 oz to 1/2 oz weight . Pink head /green tail has been a steadily successful color. The new color orange sparkle tail with a white head alsowrked well yesterday again. With today being cloudy and overcast it wouldn’t hurt to try a darker color such as purple sparkle or watermelon redflake .
